Not a great day

Managed to get out for an hour today with the camera.  There is an old brick works near where I live that is now a nature reserve.  Not too exciting but a pleasant little walk around the lake.

I was pulled towards the stunning reed heads which looked amazing backlit.  Took loads of shots but I think the 20 - 30 mph gusting wind made it near impossible to get a sharp pc.  In fact, I didn't get a single sharp picture of the reeds.  Shame really as some of them looked pretty good  :hope:

Anyway, gorgeous sunshine and a pleasant walk spoilt only by not getting a decent picture.  It was impressive to see waves and white horses on the lake though.

That's just the way it goes some days. All those masterpieces that looked so good in the viewfinder suddenly turn into pants when they reach the computer.

It's happened to me many, many times!

Actually, I think the one you've posted isn't as bad as you seem to think. If the branches at top and bottom left were removed, I reckon it'd be a keeper.
