A good freebie is a good freebie and not to be sniffed at, but...

I'm pretty sure I've had this installed on my Mac and it didn't perform too well. What it did was good, but it seemed to be a bit clunky while it was doing it.

A good share though, Jeff and HL Thanks!

I'm a bit slow learning its peculiarities too. What I give it a HUGE thumbs up for, is when it's finished processing your image, the original isn't touched, but there's now a tiny (a few k) extra file in the folder - same name, but with a .dop extension.

Presumably though, there's (somewhere) an option to 'commit' your changes when you're happy so you don't have to load DxO Pro every damn time you want to look at your image?

I'm now thinking I'm getting this confused with something else.

Does Optics integrate into PhotoShop or is it a stand-alone jobbie?

It seems to be a stand-alone, but it does pick up the DxO Filmpack 3 automatically if you happen to have that in Applications.

Apparently though, the latest edition (10) is claimed to be a genuine rival to LR with some things it does even better, such as Smart Lighting.
