PORTRAIT OF A SMILE

Out and about again, when I saw someone I knew chatting to this chap.......both spotted my camera and did the usual...Arms Outstretched Pose......what they didn't realise was that I had the 2.8/100 Macro fitted so the camera was already zoomed in..........it caught this smiling face beautifully with little effort from me:

I like the idea, I like the expression but the cropping of the top of his head means I dont really like the whole image. I realise its the downside of the prime lens that you cant quickly reframe a shot without running back five paces which draws attention to you.

OK, time to disagree :)

I rather like the fact that the top of his head is cropped, what doesn't sit well is that he is looking to our left but the space is to our right. Maybe a square crop to lose the space?

Thank you all........Yes!.....I can see what you mean Phil.......I will do that on the original.

As to camera cropping......here I had no choice, it was just a mess about really......he was chatting to someone I know.....they struck up a daft pose (as folks do)....... And I snapped, literally snapped as they did so.....the macro lens meant his face filled the frame as you see it.......no thoughts about cropping or composition just an ....as it was shot.

Good fun though.
