Really like this one. The red roof against the very stark and gloomy atmosphere works very well :yes

As I tend to over cook things I would have been tempted to boost the reds a little to give an even greater separation, but that's just me :)

A wonderful study, that oozes atmosphere......BP will love the central composition....it really works for me too.

It is also good to have a peek into a different scene away from the UK.......Just like we already enjoy all the news and scenery from Dee ( KOBIONE) in Australia.

This scene has mood and drama for me. The eye is taken down the pier to the structure. The building itself has some great interest and detail for me. The darker sky gives a great sense of a storm on the way. I can't help but think it would be even better if some of this sky was cropped off a little? Nice work though.

Well for an image that breaks all the traditional rules Central no thirds etc Its very good

The inclusion of the fortuitous white coggy boat makes it asymetric and diverts the eyes to take in more on the first glance

The processing has given it a very clean appeal

thanks everyone.  there was very little color out that day, i really had to push the boardwalk to get that little bit of warmth out of it.  otherwise it was the same color (or lack thereof) as the sky and water.  as for shooting central, everything was so symmetrical out there, i figured why not.

as a funny side note, the purpose of the trip was to find a small shipwreck on the beach to use in the foreground of some star trails.  obviously, that didn't happen..
