Nice one John. I love these iconic birds. That red beak against the green back drop looks good.

 

I need to get to the Farnes at the right time this year.

 

They only come ashore for about 10 weeks to breed and spend the rest of their time far out to sea. Early June is the best time to see them, they should be feeding their single chick then... the young are called Pufflings.

I have been to the Farnes, but after breeding. I am determined to get it right this year. :)

Thank you for your nice comment. I've been to the island of Skomer several times and I will probably go again, I love Puffins they are so cute. There are more Puffin shots in my bird gallery if you would like to see them.
