Went out this morning for my usual dog walk and took a real camera. Thats right folks you read that correctly, I took my Pentax K30................WITH A TRIPOD!!!!!!!!!!

It's passing phase I'm sure but it did mean I could have a bit of fun.

This is an eight - shot in-camera - multiple-exposure processed with Nik SEP 2

Decided since I had a tripod and could get things to stay in one place I'd have a go at a bit of HDR.

Three shots - 2 stops under/metered/2 stops over - combined in Nik HDR Pro 2 - processed Nik SEP 2

Bit of a halo but can't be bothered to sort it, I'll have a fiddle with the full sized one though.

#2 is a cracker!

Please do tell Kev. Many of my shots suffer from this halo effect.

Open up the finished image as a layer over one from the original set. Create a mask and then set the opacity as required and just brush in some of the sky from the original. I hope I am making sense.

The way I'd do it in this particular shot, is to select the rocks (easily done using a combination of magnetic lasso and square marquee) and copy to a new layer. Then it's just a matter of slightly transforming the size of the rock layer (making bigger) until the halo is covered up.

There's probably ways to avoid it in the first place, but I'm Wittgenstein on that.
