LICHEN END

My title may sound like the name of a country Cottage, but it is the only one I could think of when shooting this beautiful lichen covered twig. I am always pleased to see Lichen growth like this beacuase is an accurate indicator of air quality.
I took this to demonstrate how excellent Depth of Field (DOF) can be obtained with a Micro Four Thirds Camera and 14-45 Kit Lens.....the trick is to extend the telephoto to its fullest, then focus very carefully.

Not quite the BOKEH of a 50-1.8 but very pleasing for all that?

This is my last post of 2014.

Yes, that's got good separation between subject and background. May I ask what aperture it was taken at? (You've not included EXIF data..)

Here you go Chris.....

Camera: Panasonic Lumix GX7

Lens: LUMIX G VARIO 14-45/F3.5-5.6

Recording media: RAW (digital)

Date Taken: 27 Dec 2013 - 10:39 PM

Focal Length: 45mm

Lens Max Aperture: f/5.6

Aperture: f/5.6

Shutter Speed: 1/320sec

Exposure Comp: 0.0

ISO: 400

Exposure Mode: Aperture-priority AE

Metering Mode: Multi-segment

Flash: Off, Did not fire

White Balance: Manual

The only thing wrong is my clock setting it should be AM not PM.... Blame that on my eyes when. Bought the camera, they were at their worst at that time. I will re set it.
