Leon, you did yourself no favours with your title.....

It is a pleasing sunset study that could be kicked in to life with selective post processing, there is so much within the shot that could be teased out.

I now think BP was being ironic! What Fuji means by improving this, I have NO idea!!

There are many tonal qualities in the clouds to pull out, there are patches of natural beautiful light to enhance......perhaps it is because I have done much scenic painting in the past I see these things.

I can only suggest studying paintings.......not so you over process but that you know where, how and by how much.

Always a little difficult working with a jpeg from a small sensor but here's my five minute fiddle with Lightroom.

I see two pictures here. Your edit BP - which is a fine piece of work - and Leon's original. Of the two, Leon's looks more like the scene that I would have seen (though I can never know that for sure) with my own eyes at that time. Which is better? An impossible question to answer! Both versions have their merits, so both are worth preserving.

 

(Can I come off the fence now?)
