WINTER DREAMS

FUJI

Recommended Posts

I popped into the Castle to see old re-enactor friends on Sunday, they took over part of my business when I retired, it was so good to see my Toy Making workshop continuing almost 20 years after I initiated them.

On the way out of the Tudor Barn I spotted this winter scene, it was almost 3pm so light was fading fast and visitors had begun to make their way home.

I am liking the composition and I agree with Cathy, it is very suited to b/w. I like the way the ligher area at the bottom of the screen sweeps my eyes around into the main image. The big trees work against the back drop of the walls.

I really like the lighting, tones and composition however I feel it needs a little softening.

I am not referring to your image here Fuji, but just as a general observation, when I say that people seem a little obsessive about a crisp, pin sharp image when a tiny little bit of softening would give it that little something more. Im often guilty of this too.
