he's a nice little jumping spider leon.

have you seen on the news this week the increase in deadly spiders here? they say they are surviving more and more in this country when they escape. or enter through shipments at docks.

One of my favourite little spiders......they are very different to the web building kind......those lamp-like eyes give them fantastic vision, they love investigating and exploring their tiny world.....they can even get curious about a camera lens.

I've said it before and I will say it again......please don't kill spiders because they rid us of so many pests, and, if left alone won't bite.........I love to see, even the largest spiders around our Victoran House, but I never handle them.....if I see one trapped in the sink I always use a paper cup or similar to effect the rescue.

It is no good us attempting to stop them, because under our downstairs floor boards there is no concrete, just clayey earth ......occasionally a monster of a spide will emerge from the depths under our stairs.

If you want to live and thrive, then let a spider run alive.
