Two pics of our 16 year old moggie....Tinke.........a Birman or Birman Cross, she was a rescue cat who came to us on the day she was about to be put down about 12 years ago; she originated in Africa, was brought to the UK, spent a traumatic time in quaranteen, then was cruely treated by a young boy,  she then came to us;.

Within three weeks a loose greyhound almost tore her hind leg off in our garden, she hid for three days, then appeared out of the blue during a rain storm.... dragging her leg behind her. I saw her die on the vet's table, he wrked fast to resuscitate her before carrying out delicate surgery using metal plates and pins.

The owner of the grehound had to pay almost £2000 for the surgery....he wasn't insured; it took us months to recover the money.

Tinke has used up a few of her lives, but she is very happy and secure with us:

She spends most of her time indoors, loves raw chicken, loves to chase a laser light around, can be crabby at times....she is looking her age now:

Best viewed LARGE.....Click on Pic:

I've been checking my stored cameras, both had flat batteries and one, my SONY A55 had a few pics left on the card:

Very shallow DOF .. but you got it on the eyes ok :)

Yes Chris,

It was taken with my SONY A55 with the 1.8-35 lens fitted, it was wide open as far as I recall, hence the very shallow DOF.....

I have been experimenting two cameras, that gad been in a drawer for almost six months........

I have my original SONY A55 ........ A PANASONIC LX5 ......... A used PANASONIC GF1 purchased second hand from a branch of CEX for just £150 complete with kit lens.........Lastly comes my PANASONIC GX7 purchased in desparation just prior to my serious retinal surgery that has left me, temporarily one-eyed, hence the dire need for a good viewfinder.

They all get used ...the Sony has all my macro kit plus a TAMRON 70-300 Lens.......The LX5 is my holiday/trip/rainy day camera that tucks easily under my coat if raining.......the GF1 was a bargain too good to miss, I have a collection of M42 and CCTV lenses to play with on that via relevant adapters.
