I have been going through the hundreds of old Photo-Files on my desktop today.........I chanced upon this rather unsettling image; I have given it my full treatment to enhance the strangeness:

I expected to see an ice cream. When I opened this up it grabbed my attention. I like it. It is somewhat bizarre and maybe even spooky. But the composition got me straight off.

Thank you Kev,

The whole, including the title were planned to create that kind of surprise........to me, it IS a rather creepy shot that was composed, in-camera, with hardly any cropping.

In all truth it was a market trader's very eye catching method of displaying, those butterfly and flower hair slides, by using a discarded hair dressing doll ....a very creepy toy in any case.

My composition and, post processing was deliberately planned to draw attention to the main subject, the final selective, High-Pass Sharpening draws the eye too.

The subject, like many others, is one that might be dismissed by many new to photography, or perhaps by those who are more technically minded........having a creative/ artistic mind set helps.

Being able to carry a camera, for most of the time whilst out and about helps, especially during retirement..........keeps the old brain cells ticking over.

My, advise it to attempt to SEE the unusual, the odd, and eye catching life that goes on all around us.....just like our Paul, has his photographer's eye firmly in the Macro corner.
