THis unusual looking pooch is a Japanese Sharpei.......this particular one has been through the wars; currently she works hard promoting the work of the PDSA or the RSPCA.

 

Because of the inbreeding done to increase the Pedigree Sharpei defining face  folds, this poor mutt was blinded by hers and she suffered from severe excema and runny eyes; a series of traumatic operations ( a makeover in fact) saved her sight and sanity.

 

Now she is a very happy and friendly character that children love because she looks so different, her carer, has requested a formal portrait, so this is it:

I remember going to see a client who had two of these a few years ago. One demanded attention from me and not getting the fuss she expected grabbed my trouser leg and gave it a good shaking!
