Early morning shots

Been trying to do a few more night time shots lately, these were both taken yesterday morning approx 5.15 am.

Nikon D5100 Lens: 18-70 mm f/3.5-4.5
Shot at 18 mm Exposure: Manual exposure, 6 sec, f/6.3, ISO 4000

The first isn't really doing a lot for me, too much black at the bottom, but the second is excellent. Orion's belt is clearly visible

The first is ok, but the second is a belter - the combination of starry sky and dawn-lit cooling towers is perfect. Pity there isn't one nearer to the towers showing them against the starry sky, but we can't have everything!
