at TIPF we have always been proud of the fact that we are one of the very rare forums where admins and mods do not have to delete content from members as on the rare occasion that someone posts something that is considered inappropriate a simple request for it to be removed or modified is always enough to get the situation rectified. On this occasion the original poster chose not to do as requested so I have removed both the image and the comment. Also for clarification I have responded to the relevant parts of the original posters response to being asked to modify the post

 

1.  It was NOT posted as an insult, you remove it if unacceptable.  <-- you were asked to modify the post to make it less offensive, as you havent I have

2. It is well known that you do not donate to people as the POLICE will tell you as they are a well known CON, <-- not relevant to the request to modify your post

3. Perhaps we are too politically correct these days.  <-- not relevant to the request to modify your post

4.  I WAS HOMELESS for SIX months and never begged. <-- not relevant to the request to modify your post

5.  This is a FREE country, I have not been racist, sexist, abusive <-- as someone once said with great freedom comes great responsibility. the post was considered offensive so the fact it wasn't racist, sexist or abusive is irrelevant as it was offensive.

 

Please can we ask that normal service is now resumed and if you are asked to modify a post you do so as we really don't want this forum to become a battlefield that requires excessive policing by mods and admins like so many other forums.

There will be those on TIPF, Jeremy, who will find that comment most offensive and I'm bloody well one of them.

 

If you've posted this in the hopes of winding someone up and causing argument, you've struck gold. And I'm now asking you to remove that comment from the forum.

 

 

Mods / Admin - I honestly feel that JR needs a kick up the arse for posting this and I trust you agree. This is just the kind of crap that Ugly Hedgehog would relish.

 

And yes, I know I have the ability to remove or edit, but I'd prefer Jeremy to do that.

I do think the original remark was heading rapidly for Offensiville. 

 

However - and I hasten to add that no conclusions should necessarily be drawn - she is a very well dressed bag lady, and as for that handbag .. well!

 

Still, she may have fallen on hard times. Who are we to judge?

Almost every post you make on this forum is intended to offend or cause argument and I think you should stop.

 

This post is offensive and no matter what you point out in your stupid 1 to 4 list, it will remain offensive.

 

I'm going to lock this thread to stop you adding to it, but I hope others read it and take notice that your posts are not in the spirit of TIPF.

Other than the obvious unsavoury overtones, it is plainly wrong to take someone's photograph (with or without permission), post it on a public forum and then make derogatory comments or inferences about that person.

 

Jeremy Rundle is a professional photographer and as such should act responsibly and - I shouldn't need to say this - professionally.
