A very thoughtful Portrait:

I can see where you were aiming Paul, but think you have missed the target slighty.......?

On my monitor, the main area of Madiison's face is too brigh, not burned out, but just too bright, a little softer touch on the brightness pedal should do the trick, all the tones are there I'm sure?

Also I would lighten the irises of her eyes just a tad, so you can see the differences between them, her black pupils and the whites.

Good conversion, have you added a little texture or noise? If so it works. I love the composition and you have a pretty little model there. The only negative I can see is her hand (pic left) is a touch hot, maybe bring it back a little? Great image though and it wouldn't surprise me to see this win image of the week. :)

For me, the colour version of this shot would include the hat, and it would be a different shot altogether.

In the mono version, I think the hat adds nothing as it has no colour or anything else much. If you cropped just to her face and hands, I think it would be a great study, and you could leave it high key.

(Basically, you need both colour and mono versions!)
