The Beehive Hotel - Bigg Market, Newcastle.

 

We did a heritage walk around the city a few weeks ago where one of the 'attractions' was Bigg Market. I just couldn't resist taking a few shots of this lovely old boozer and I can just imagine how wonderful those ceramic tiles looked in the pub's heyday.

My son works in Newcastle quite often and when I showed him this image his first reaction was "you wouldn't want to be there on a Friday night".

 

I wasn't brave enough to call in for an afternoon Lucozade and a bag o' nuts!
