Seems there were some fantastic storms around during the night, I heard nothing!

 

I spent 30 mins from 2am watching the lightning up in the clouds and again at 4.15am. Very little lightning was coming to earth.

I never think to disconnect anything when there are storms around. 

 

It's a good idea to take the phone line out of your router, at the very least - that's the way lightning could get from the outside into your computer and burn it out. Also, I have my computer and router plugged into an 'anti-surge' socket.
