Thank you Chris and yes I did go for a high key look, I either tend to go for high key or low key when doing B&W.

im not normally keen on black and white portraits unless its of old craggy skinned people or some such, the smoothness of young skin doesnt often work well... having said that these are lovely no1 is my favourite. i love the look of pure concentration and the light reflections in the sax

Thank you BP, that would be the Olympus E-M5 and m75-300mm for the first one and the 60mm Macro for the second one I shot that one covertly using the swivel LCD at waist level while sitting in a crowded open area.
