Strange isn't it... you have swarms of Burnets and I rarely see them and I have butterflies you don't seem to see.

 

The other strange thing is how much earlier you see Dragonflies, I only got my first shots yesterday and it went from one extreme to the other...none then loads of Broad Bodied Chasers and the odd Hawker. They gave me so much trouble getting shots as they were very active courting, laying eggs and the boys fighting over girls.

I am convinced they are earlier here than last year though, but then most things have been I suppose.

Lovely set, John. They are so colourful. and sharp.
I had never seen any of those until on year that we were in Wales.

Another great There used to be hundreds of these when I was growing up but I haven't seen one for years
