This seems to be a repeat post, but strictly speaking it isnt, Ive been inspired by Paulns processing to learn how to sharpen using the HIGH PASS FILTER in CS6.....at first it was difficult for me to grasp, until, at last, the penny dropped:

 

Here is my first real attempt at a much improved sharpen usng the High Pass Filter together with the Soft-Light Blend Mode...

 

Is it better?

 

Does it work?

 

I am that cross eyed looking at my monitor through tne good eye that I cant really tell....I should be able to see the difference better by morning.....the tireder I am the worse my dodgy eye sees:

It works well, Fuji.

 

It's hard to tell when you have been looking at it for a long time, isn't it?
I had to ask my siter the other day, if something that I was looking at on the screen was blurred or not.
