I done some head shots for a friend to send off to agents etc and before we finished she said she had always wanted a sexy,sultry smoking picture and this is what we came up with. CC welcome

I think it's a good effort. I think it would improve if her eyes were narrowed slightly and her mouth either closed or her lips parted a bit more? Also, her face is somewhat over-exposed, whereas if half-hidden in shadow would provide an air of mystery and greater sultriness perhaps? Just my thoughts. 

 

It's perfectly framed though, and doesn't need much to make it really good.

Quality wise, I think the portrait is just about right. There's super detail in the hair, the eyes are lovely and the pose and the lighting are spot-on. The B&W job is pretty bloody good as well.

 

So, photographically, a thumbs-up from me, but that cigarette is very unappealing. I'm just not sure how an inch of fag ash, curling smoke and the potential for a chesty cough equate to sexy, but it'll be very interesting to see what others have to say.

Lol yes I know what you mean but it's what she wanted, she doesn't even smoke. The showed me an image of a 40's style smoking shot so although we didn't have any costumes at the time we just went for it :)
