Rambler's Rest...

Korky

Recommended Posts

Lunch break in the hills above the Welsh coastal village of Dwygyfylch (try saying that after four pints of Old Speckled Hen).

Please let me know if this looks too dark or too light. I've been trying to calibrate my MacBook without resorting to hardware. Ta!

That looks a fabulous place to just sit and watch.

As for the image, the colour range looks fairly good, but it looks a bit washed out as if your monitor is set a bit too contrasty, so what we see isn't as eye-popping as what you see on your computer (if that makes sense)

Great image, but for my taste I would prefer a little more contrast and colour saturation, particularly in the foreground. But then who says my monitor is calibrated so I see what you see.

To me it looks fine, but I have my monitor calibrated towards the greens and yellows, and I have the brightness on 6 or 7 out of 15. I could see where some might say the shadows need to be darker, but in a scene like that it's hard to say they should be - it's a classic scenario for too much contrast, which you've avoided.
