This butterfly was another welcome intruder to my long afternoon Macro Shoot yesterday, we only have two tiny patches of garden back and front so being patient until something appears or can be found is all part of the fun.

 

I was just about to pack up when I became aware of the Butterfly flitting around, not seeming to want to settle anywhere.......then, as if it heard me telling it too, it landed right on the top of the Rosemary.........knowing that Butterflies are....well....flighty, I shot from at least a metre away.

 

As you can see, my SONY 2.8-100 Macro and great Autofocus on the A55 worked like a dream team.

 

Again, like my Robin pic, this is a crop to place the buttefly nicely within the frame, and to get rid of unwanted clutter and intrusive shadows, I have carried out my usual Pist Processing to tease out the best from the RAW original:
