Frogs across the pond

And I mean the  proper ones ...  ( not   a euphemism for our  neighbours across the channel ! )  ... have appeared in the pond for the first time in a long time . I saw about 30  and took the 400 mm lense out at the bottom of the garden to catch them as they were about  20 - 25 metres away ..

It is still too cold for them here, hopefully we get frogs and lots of lightning bugs this spring.

This was two days after we had 6inches of snow and temperature was only a degree above freezing.. It appeared they were all looking  for mates and it seem the frog on the far right had found his hearts desire … 🫣

Weather is always pretty unsettled here, that is one reason we get tornadoes. the saying is if you don't like the weather wait a few minutes.
