Fog Lights!

Here are some long exposure shots I took of the traffic leading up to a roundabout close to where I live. I wanted to see how the fog would affect the lights.

 

Not perfect but I am quite pleased with what I got for a first attempt:

Cool! I especially like the first two ... but what's the moving green light in #1 ?

Thanks Chris. It is from the lights inside the double decker bus. The camera was set to tungsten on the WB and I think that caused the green look to the lights

Well good, that glow makes these very different. I like the bus picture very much

The first, is edging towards the ....Art Photography ....creation that you were discussing in another thread .....the composition is excellent, you might try adding textures to increase the abstraction?

In all these, I'm glad you left the traffic lights in view, as well as (to a lesser degree) the chevron turn markers. They provide a solid anchor for the movement of the light trails

They are so atmospheric and the light trails really stand out..

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Everything you have said is what I was trying to achieve.

 

I am never fully happy with anything I do so when I get comments like this I look at them far less critically and actually start to appreciate them more
