Not at all. I love shots like this - the first one (pre-PP) stands up prefectly well on its own. It's not really abstract, but it's a simple composition and very effective, the pattern formed by a network of interlocking branches. The PP is ... well, it's ok, but perhaps just slightly overdone?

I really like this Leon, mistake or not, it is a very powerful image........the view is what someone unfortunate enough to experience a knock out fall in the forest, would see as they came round.

On TV or in a film drama, the scene would be spinning, out of focus at first, then go wobbly until our faller regains consciousness.

Just what were you doing laying on your back in the woods Leon?

Is it crap??

...well Leon I will ask you would you put this on your wall at home?

on the contrary..... I would not put a picture of a fly or wasp on my wall, but is it a good picture???

over to you  :hrhr:

I don't ask others to endorse anything I'm not prepared to  - by that I mean if I feel its not good enough for me then I wouldn't expect others to like it.  I think you have to have faith in your own work (not just photography) and if you can't tell if its crap or abstract how are you going to know if others are right or wrong?

for me, well you often make the point about doing no PP - here we have a picture you have tried to make something of using PP - not sure that fits in with what I thought you believed in?

lol Colin, this post was meant to be a bit of a joke, I thought it was crap, and the PP was done to further enhance my opinion of it,

I literally had my camera on my knee pointing upwards the shutter was pressed by mistake.

maybe my humour doesn't always  come across in text :)

I did not expext any serious positive comments from anyone, but thanks..

Well, the joke's on you Leon, as several people have commented that it's not crap at all. For example, Annie and Fuji, who both regularly demonstrate their class in this forum.

So, come on, rise to the challenge - please outline in detail, addressing all the relevant compositional elements, precisely WHY you thought it was crap?
