Is anyone else getting this annoying white tool bar thing on the left when they are on TIPF, or is it only me? It's doing my head in. I have been all through my settings and have only google as a search engine, pop ups are blocked etc. Help!

Hope it stays away, Annie. Search 'helpers' are one of the most annoying things I find on work computers slowing everything down, they are often 'side-loaded' along with other programs that you actually do want or need.

 

Recent typical examples are Google Chrome being installed along with a flashplayer update and the 'ask toolbar' being installed with java update..   Never just accept the default installation settings, check them to make sure there are no added extras.

 

Also make sure your antivirus is up to date and run a full scan just to be sure nothing else has been put on at the same time.

Yep bugs....gonna do a full scan today...just baffled as to where it came from and it was only happening here on TIPF...
