The Romany Accordian Player has become a familiar figure in most towns during the past few years, we have two regulars, who play excrutlatingly badly..........but...

 

This new one turned up the other day and, surprise surprise, he was playing excellent Blues Jazz; a real pleasure to listen to.....I hope he returns in place of the others.

 

I always get a nod of approval befor disturbing a playing mucisian, this chap was only too pleased to oblige....his reward was a quid in his accordian case plus a print if he returns.

 

I did take a set of five, this is the best, plus another waiting to be processed in mono:

Beautifully isolated from the background Fuji. He does have a twinkle in his eye, doesn't he! I bet that's reflected in his music. 

 

I do love a good bit of gypsy jazz - no better exponents than Grappelli and Reinhardt of course, but there are also many talented street musos in that genre, and of all busking, I can listen to gypsy jazz the longest
