I have edited this post, because I made an error in explaining which camera and lens I used.....this was taken with. My SONY A55 with the dedicated 1.8-35 lens fitted, it dies a cracking job, as you can see.

This then was by way of seeing just how close I could get.............. my reflowering Christmas Cactus made the ideal subject, the sharpness and clarity of the lens are first class, as you can see:
