Snap Shot

I took this in a hallway at a retirement home.  It was taken with a Nikon D800e, on camera SB900 with stock diffuser, natural light coming through a door and window, and my old Nikkor 70-210 AF 4-5.6.  I am re-discovering this old lenses.  They seem to work well on FX cameras.  You be the judge.  Comments welcome.

the couple are nice and clear with some nice lights and blur in the background.

I like it too. The only change I would make (but we all have different colour senses!) is to dial out some of the yellow.

I can agree with the comment above, it is very yellow, a quick adjustment of your camera...White Balance...would have prevented that......as Chris said, it can be adjusted now using software.

I can't wait to see pics, from around your immediate environment........home, garden, city, town, countryside, pets etc.....

Yellow with a strange hint of green to the shadows.

it does have a little tint of yellow but that could be down to the lighting i think 

love their natural smiling expressions and the clear happiness they have at being in each others company

Snap shot--in a crowed hall with geen walls, green carpet and strawberry blond folk--what do you expect Ansel Adams. lol

I believe the old lens performed well in the digital age.

Dial out the yellow and the gents shirt will go blue. You did a good job in mixed lighting.

Not if you go into Hue/Saturation and adjust the sliders just for Yellow - the shirt will then be left untouched.

whilst I don't know just how much light there was, wouldn't the D800 cope without flash?
