BREAD and CAKES

I always have fun pointng my camera at the regular market traders in town weekly......usually only in jest because the lighting undr the predominanly red canvas covers and outdoor lighting makes for awful colour shots:

 

As I was waiting to be served by the Bread and Cakes Lady last Thursday, I could see the potential of a little mono work......I had my Nifty Fifty on the SONY so all was well:

 

Just as I thought....... the colour origiginals were colour cast and very dark (miserable cold day)...................here then is my takeon improving poor light photography by cinverting then processing in mono:

I just love that first shot! I would enjoy being served bread and cakes by her, she looks a real character. Your portraits just get better and better.

YUP!

Because of the conditions it was shot under, it became very gritty half way through the PP.......I have obviously been a bit careless with where I put the anti noise brush........I will go back to the RAW image and put it right.

Now you are beginning to sound like me.     I can see why the hat attracted you. It really does work well in B&W.
