At last a walk in the trees without rain

Leaves they may be Fuzzy, but all beautifully observed then recorded, the first is appealing because of the strong coloured areas of that single leaf.

The second could be an aerial shot of rivers converging, and the third records a reasonably warm haven for an overwintering ladybird.

I note that you may have been using a macro lens? If so, when you go back to where the leaves were, look on the ground for the flattest and wettest ones, turn them over and you may find tiny Springtails, amusing critters that look a bit like Mr Blobby......( look them up) ......

..... I took my macro lens out yesterday and despite the bitterly cold wind, I discovered a fly lurking amongst the leaves of a south facing ivy bush.

I like the way that the little Ladybird is nestled in the leaf and the clarity of them all.

Fuji, can you find Springtails under any leaves or does a particular species?

Would I be able to find them in my small garden as I don't have trees, only lavender, Fuschia and another tiny leaved bush?

Springtails, can usually be found underneath many broad leaves, especially those soggy ones that have lain fairly flat against the soil for some time. I think that they eat the starches and detritus in leaf litter. If you Google them you will see there are two distinct types, a cool day is usually good for hunting them, on warmer days they can do a ....ZEBEDE......and go........BOING!........and vanish.

Well worth searching leaf litter for all kinds of macro subjects, it can be relatively warm in the dark underneath a leaf or leaves.
