A very interesting response, a Pro artist mate of mine, likens it to an example of Origami..........interesting we all see things differently.

The original RAW version is fine, except for a very ugly wire and post fence in the background, I began, by darkening that right down, but the gull looked far too bright, so I went the other way.

I kept going with my lightening until I reached this point, which pleased my old eyes.......I could visualise it used as a background to a verse or other text, or perhaps to include other more defined gulls in the foreground, or, this as a repeat pattern.

It is good to take things to the very limits sometimes, not to be inhibited to break the rules.

Looking at Leon's recent post of....The world's most expensive photographs.....proves the point I think?
