Tried to capture the mood in a local park on a cold, desolate, winter's day. I'm fascinated by how town parks are used (or not) in the modern day, as compared to when most of them were established in the Victorian/Edwardian era.

Chris, I use Silver Efex Pro 2.

First I do all my processing in Lightroom, then convert to mono in Silver Efex Pro 2, and do any further adjustments in there.

That's where I then set control points, in this case on a section of railing, and increase Selective Colorization I think it's called, to bring back colour. You can adjust the area affected, as well as make specific adjustments to brightness, contrast etc.

It works just the same, I tried it just now in Elements 9.

Open Elements, Open the photo you want to convert. Go to the Filter tab, select Nik Software, then Silver Efex Pro 2 (if you've previously loaded it of course)
