Sunset on the Tyne

Ok yes yet another sunset picture lol...

...But I have applied a warming tone to this and just wondered what you might think of it, i.e. does it look natural? To me it does but I am not viewing it with objective eyes lol:

Does it looks natural? I'd say it looks as if your camera was wearing my sunglasses :smoke:  but yes, the warmed tones work quite well, especially since they are also toning the light glints on the stonework at the right. That keeps it looking like low evening light reflecting off everything

Thanks guys your comments are much appreciated.

I gave this just a hint (around 10%) of magenta to warm it slightly. The golden light, though much loved, just didn't seem enough for me (maybe I am just greedy lol)

Bugsi, I must get a pair of those sunglasses then lol

And Graham you are more than capable as a photographer...I loved that shot of the Lucas lamp on your bicycle in mono :) Keep taking and posting images - I have only been a member here for a couple of months and thanks to everyone's supportive and constructive criticism I have learned a lot, and a lot of the shots posted on here just fill you with so much inspiration. I love this forum and everyone on it :)

I like it, the warming tone is just enough to not look artificial.  Must admit I like that its not the new bridge too, although, sadly, I could go and stand in the exact same place :-)  Having said that, I've never managed to see a decent  a shot from there - the quay is over busy, or the pub lights are too bright etc etc.  Liking yours though, well done

Thanks festy, natural light is always tricky to get right (although for some on here it seems to be a breeze, yes Bill that's you! lol) and adding tones often results in a 'Photoshopped looking image'. That's why I offered this up for comments, often you think something looks ok because of the amount of time you spend on it, so its nice to know that something works in other's eyes :)

Good shot - I can't detect any warming tone, it just looks like natural sunset to me.
