RAINY DAY EXPERIMENTS

Recommended Posts

Since acquiring my Panasonic GF1 M2/3 camera, I have learned that, with adaptors, all of my SONY lenses will fit it plus a few old and quirky lenses.

The one used here is of the quirky type.......a circa twenty quid (NEW) bargain via eBay.....they are sold under various names...mine is a MICHAEL version...all are CCTV with smooth aperture and focus change.

All are 35-1:1.7, quite well made, with good glass, many M 2/3 owners photographers and videographers are raving about them.

Since buying mine it has lain in a drawer waiting until such a day as this.....I did intend to take it out and about, after a quick shoot indoors, but we have had storm conditions all day.

Instead I concentrated very carefuly to test  its amazing depth of field and beautiful BOKEH  produced when wide open.

These arent the best of subjects I know, but, they are what I have around....the wooden soldiers are in a north facing bay window, so light was perfect...the first frame is...As-Taken except for reducing t a JPEG for posting here.

The second frame has been processed then selectively sharpened:

The third frame was an experiment in mono.

Please be aware that composition and BG werent top priority, they are just...test studies......I am hoping we get just a little sun tomorrow....I would like to find a willing portrait model too.

I reckon that at circa £20 the lenses are an absolute bargain, please note you need to get back to all manual mode and focussing to usethem...not so easy without a viewfinder.

Comments and observations very welcome:
