STREET PORTRAIT

Ive been at it again...............asking complete strangers if they mind having a portrait taken........most say yes......the occassional one refuses, but that's all part of the fun of Street Photography........its edgy.

Yes, I have worked on this, to add grit, character and oomph, to what was a rather bland shot.......no tome for posing, messing about with settings, just got the best manual setting then shoot.

Thanks folks........that's one of the problems with Street Photography.......you don't get much chance to choose backgrounds, my subject was standing against the light on a very sunny day.

sadly, I'm not much cop at adding artificial backgrounds.

How about this? Brick background courtesy of Google Images, colour-matched to your portrait, then several applications of Gaussian Blur applied. (This after selecting out the white area of yours). Then it was just a matter of using the eraser with a soft brush around the edges, or you'd see the join even worse than now! All in all, around 20 minutes in Elements 6.

You'll probably hate it!
