Tarlok - a nice scene perhaps a little tight in the frame, but if I may suggest and your camera is able - in this scenario with the mist not really helping the subject  'bracketing' (taking 3 shots at different exposures) may help, giving you a choice of exposed images. This one does look a little over exposed, you can adjust in pp software but by taking shots at different exposures you can save having to do that afterwards.

But nevertheless a good shot worth taking - keep em' coming.

It's not always possible to choose your shooting conditions and as Colin suggests, bracketing is often a good idea if you only have one occasion to take a shot.

I actually quite like this one with the mist (I'm told it's a very common occurence in that area) as it introduces a bit of surrealism, and cloaks the distance, although I would also like to see a clearer version.

I seem to have more aptitude with other people's pictures than my own, so do forgive me taking another liberty with one of yours Tarlok. All I did was an "Auto Smart Fix" in Elements, plus a crop and a colour correction. You may prefer your original - this is such a subjective exercise (apart from the over-exposure).
