Many folk dislike the magnificent Canada Geese that inhabit our local pool during the winter months, not so much because they are horrible birds, but because Urban Council's tend to pave the banks of pools and lakes.......that way, these grass grazing geese receive a bad press for doing what comes naturally.................Here we have tall reeds, rough grass and mud beaches so mess is never a problem to walkers and children:

The geese are totally wild, but become tamer as winter develops.................we have a farm pond to the rear of the house that the geese like to fly back and forth to.....I love to hear their distinctive call as they do so..............they are excellent night flyers too, that makes the call even more interesting, it's as though they are reassuring each other as they navigate trees and wires in the dark:

This is pretty well....As taken....converted, then procesed in CS6.........there is a little noise in parts bcause my ISO levels had been very high:

What do you mean "wild" they eat out of our hands  Just joking, I know what you mean, Fuj.

They are beautiful birds, and I love this shot.
They have such beautiful colours that I have never imagined a shot in B&W, but it works really well, and is very eye catching.

Nice one!
