Tilt and shift

I have tried to apply a pseudo tilt and shift to this picture. The idea behind it is to miniaturize parts of the image. Hope I'm not teaching anybody to suck eggs.

it's really made the church stand out among the crowd of other buildings. I quite like tilt shift pictures...

I like this effect but it works best with a line of 'in focus' as it gives a better impression of a miniature scene.

It's actually called .... (no, can't remember the name? Something to do with making things look like models, or miniaturisation?) 'Tilt and shift' actually refers to a specific type of lens technology that enables one to photograph buildings by pointing the lens upward without getting the converging verticals. There used to be VERY expensive lenses to enable this, but now Photoshop has made them redundant

Toy town would be a great name! I have no idea why it got named after a lens type that has NOTHING to do with this effect.
