For me it's just a bit too contrasty - and a bit too gritty for something as delicate as a rose.

 

However, the high contrast and the grittiness could well have been your intention and in that case......... What the hell do I know anyway?

Well it's certainly not a conventional rose picture, but it immediately brought to mind an exquisite steel rose I once saw, so I'd say the 'different' processing worked

 

Thanks guys. The reason I did it this way was because someone here commented that my original 'dreamy' yellow rose was too romantic and soft-focus - this was to give it the opposite treatment.
