Tower, Holy Trinity

I took this pic of Holy Trinity tower whilst out on a walk. I liked the composition but the image was dull, so I adjusted the exposure of the raw file to produce 3 bracketed pics then put it through Luminance HDR. It's much better than it was but I still think it has more to offer. What do you think?

Just out of interest how does it look  in B&W ? would imaging this is a photo that works good both ways ;)

I tried converting it in Gimp but wasn't impressed. However, I've just been watching several tutorials on Youtube and it seems there is more than one way to convert to B&W in Gimp. I'm gonna give it another try!

I would personally dial down the brickwork in the bottom left corner - it's over bright and leads the eye away from the main focus point. Just my opinion of course.

Thanks Chris, I value your opinion. I've been messing about in Gimp again and come up with this. I made a few mistakes but learnt a lot, ended up with four layers with various adjustments.
