from todays 999 open day, just gutted he was holding those leaflets!

 

and these three were surrounded by people all day so I had to crop people out.

Always tough getting "clean" shots at shows it puts me off going sometime   you did well to get No2 with no other people in there without cropping into the 3 cops

Considering the number of people you would have been contending with, I reckon you did very well.

 

Both very good shots, even with the modern features in them because the policemen are very obviously the main subject and they are well taken.

I also prefer the candid shot, but sometimes the posed shot is worth it. One I find quite good is if they are posing for someone else, then I catch them as they relax.

Take the shot as it presents itself then chat and ask if they can pose for you

It is a plesure to talk to people when you have spent time and effort dressing for the part so most dont mind being taken

Steam punk I might add is a diffrent kettle of fish there you will get mixed responce from okay to having the bird flipped at you
