RUSTING GRANDUER

Aberystwyth like many other once popular Seaside Resorts has it fair share of run-down properties.....mainly large Victorian Villa's or Town Houses.....here are the sad looking railings outside such a place:

They are well beyiond saving, all for a few lick of paint over the years....then, again, the salty sea-air is exceptionally corrosive:

Very nice rusty colours

Does Aberystwyth still have that cable car? (pidgeon loft) up the slag heap to a cafe (it was years and years since we were there)

Thank you folks!

Yes, Fuzzy, the cable car or Funicular Railway still runs and is much restored....I assume that the Cafe and Camera Obscura are still up there....I could see well painted building on the summit of that very steep hill.

When my kidsy were young we used to regularly treck back and forth on foot to and from the Clarach Bay camp site into town, we were always tired on our return to tent or camper-van............a trip up there just to the top would certainly need to be via the Cliff Railway nowadays.....Poor old soul: :crybaby:
