Definitely not up to scratch quality-wise but it's the only time I've ever seen an emperor dragonfly and I consider myself lucky to have caught this female laying her eggs in a pond (Wicken fen).

EOS 5Dii, Canon 70-200f4L  @ 200mm and this is cropped to a small percentage of the frame.

they are stunning. there was loads of various types about today over the floods, but the wind was awful. I got one that was blue and bronzy coloured, just a shame they are not worth showing.

Good capture of a Dragonfly I've never seen. If you took the shot today then you must be having better weather than me. I've been stuck indoors playing about learning how to stack.

Not a hope, I've been stuck in a office all day fixing computers :pc:

This was July last year.
