CombineZP

Does anybody here use CombineZP for focus stacking with Windows 7, 64bit? I ask as I had it on the computer when I used Windows Vista 32bit, but it got removed when I had to do a clean upgrade from 32bit Vista to 64bit Windows 7.

I have seen various reports that it is a bit flaky with Windows 7, 64 bit and it's maker said on one site he does not have Windows 7, either 32bit or 64bit on his computer to test it himself. CombineZP is of course freeware, whereas Helicon Focus and Zerene Stacker are not. If I download it onto 7 I get a message "this software is not normally downloaded, run or cancel?"

Interested to hear how you go on then. My query was as a result of reading this, plus getting a warning message when I downloaded it from Windows 7, but before I installed it:-

Some claim it works OK though:-

Combine ZP is free, but Zerene Stacker which is evidently OK with Windows 7, 64bit costs $89 (£55.52p) for the Personal Edition.

Helicon Focus costs too:-

I got it loaded OK onto Windows 7 64bit OK after ignoring the warning which I presume pops up because it is simply not yet signed for Windows 7 since the maker does not yet have Windows 7 on his computer. I presume windows 8 users will get the same thing in future.

I have not tried it yet myself though, waiting for suitable subjects like John. Seems to work OK on your computer though Blackrox.
