How & Why

The wife went out (somewhere I wasn't listening if I'm honest) with her mum and once I'd dropped the bairns at school I had the morning to myself - properly to myself, no jobs to do, no distractions, a good few hours so no rush, not just off work.

Decide to take a walk along the coast and chose the Galaxy Camera as I knew I wanted a few water-blur shots but it was too light to use the K30 and the D300s had a flat battery. Glad I did as it weighs next to nothing so I made the effort and dragged the tripod along to make a proper job of it.

The setup - How?

Camera on the tripod with the column in its horizontal position so I could get a really low angle.

Galaxy set to Waterfall Mode - it take a series of shots in one go then stitches them together to create blur regardless of how bright the conditions are:

The Results - Why?

Import into LR5 to tweak the images as I prefer these sort of images in mono.

Flick over into CS6 to resize and put my border on.

It is far from being the best quality camera in terms of the files it produces but the fun you can have with a big zoom and all the creativity of Apps is amazing.

Day off...... no family distractions.........no worries.....a good camera and a snazzy tripod........

I'm not a creamy water or milky waterfall fan......but you first shot here is a real wall hanger.
