IN THE PINK

Out and about yesterday with a  50 mm lens fitted, I spotted these amazing poppies growing on top of a high wall with sunlight just catching certain areas.......I risked my life to cross the main road where I did........I manage to shoot a whole series.

After a day of sheer frustration on stupidly losing my ability to enhance my RAW files, I am now back to full and proper PS workflow (my personal preferences that is) ...thanks to rapid help from Mr Bugmeister.............I had unwittingly changed both layer panels to white, thereby making all my brushes and effects invisible.

Being Self Taught as far as Photo-Processing Software goes has its obvious pitfalls.......if you do something daft and cant spot it, the result is a bad day like I had yesterday.

Enough of the Blether:

Here then, is the finished version of my ...In The Pink....post....Working in my usual way with soft brushes and flattened layers, plus targetted sharpening, I have enhanced the beauty and textures of these unusual blooms and the foliage surrounding them. The amazing Bokeh was produced by my old Minolta 50 mm lens.

See if you can spot the differences between the two versions:
