BEE ON BEE LAVENDER crop .. through old lens

During the lens swapping with a photographer mate yesterday, I surprised him with what an old 50mm Super TAKUMAR lens could do.....one of those with a radio-active yellow glow......this is quite a heavy crop...I too am amazed at what it produced here.

The lens has an M42 thread so requires an Ebay purchased adaptor so it fits my SONY A55:

I was watvhing a write up on Youtube the other day about old SLR lenses, ( I need to learn how to use my camera first!) looked very doable and kind to the pocket :)

Just go on Ebay for either......old lenses that will fit your DSLR.....or.......look for lenses with an M42 thread that you can buy adapters for........the thin adaptor may prevent the lens from focusing to infinity, but all else is fine......you do need to set up manually and use manual focus......good fun if you are in the right frame of mind.
